These crispy cottage cheese chips are a high-protein, low-calorie snack that’s easy to make and perfect for clean eating. Customize the flavor with your favorite seasonings, and enjoy a guilt-free crunch any time of the day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (low-fat or full-fat, as preferred)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (chopped, optional – parsley, dill, or chives)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Drain excess liquid from the cottage cheese using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  • (Optional) Blend the cottage cheese in a food processor for a smoother consistency.
  • Transfer the cottage cheese to a mixing bowl and stir in salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings or herbs.
  • Use a spoon or piping bag to drop small dollops of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each slightly with the back of a spoon.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the chips are firm.
  • Let the chips cool completely on the baking sheet or a wire rack for maximum crispiness.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or enjoy immediately with your favorite dips!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spread the dollops evenly and drain the cottage cheese thoroughly.
  • Re-crisp chips by baking them for 2-3 minutes at 350°F (175°C) if needed.
  • Experiment with flavors! Try chili flakes for spice or nutritional yeast for a cheesy kick.
