Description

This Mango Delight Dessert is a luscious, no-bake treat perfect for mango lovers! Combining the natural sweetness of ripe mangoes with creamy layers, it’s a refreshing and light dessert that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Base:

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs or digestive biscuit crumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

For the Mango Layer:

  • 2 large ripe mangoes (peeled and cubed)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Cream Layer:

  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish:

  • Mango slices or cubes
  • Mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base:
    • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and honey until well combined.
    • Press the mixture into the base of serving glasses or a dessert dish to form an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Make the Mango Layer:
    • Blend the mango cubes, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth to create a puree. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Set aside.
  • Prepare the Cream Layer:
    • In a mixing bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form.
    • Gently fold in the condensed milk and vanilla extract. Do not overmix to keep the texture light and airy.
  • Assemble the Dessert:
    • Spoon a layer of mango puree over the chilled crust.
    • Add a layer of the whipped cream mixture.
    • Repeat the layers until the glass or dish is full, finishing with a cream layer on top.
  • Garnish and Chill:
    • Decorate the top with fresh mango slices and a sprig of mint.
    • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set before serving.

Notes

  • For a healthier twist, substitute the condensed milk with Greek yogurt.
  • This recipe works wonderfully with canned mango puree if fresh mangoes aren’t in season.
  • Adjust the layering style based on the size of your serving glasses.
