  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnishes: Fresh parsley or lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    Season the chicken breasts evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Preheat the Sous Vide Machine:
    Set your sous vide precision cooker to 145°F (63°C) for tender, juicy chicken, or 150°F (65.5°C) for a slightly firmer texture.
  3. Seal the Chicken:
    Place the seasoned chicken breasts into a vacuum-seal bag or a resealable zip-top bag. If using a zip-top bag, use the water displacement method to remove air.
  4. Cook Sous Vide:
    Submerge the bagged chicken in the water bath and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. Finish and Sear:
    After cooking, remove the chicken from the bag and pat dry with paper towels. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 1-2 minutes per side to create a golden-brown crust.
  6. Serve:
    Slice the chicken breast and garnish with fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
